Day one, a feeler

Today was basically a ramp-up to the full on conventional proceedings tomorrow, and I am really excited for what's to come.  if the sheer number of pre registrations and scholars I met today is any indication, the early start of tomorrow's day will be the beginning of something exciting and memorable, in a plethora of ways.
