The Magnitude of NCA

When professors spoke of hundreds upon hundreds of communication enthusiasts descending on one city during a long weekend in November, I thought I was accurately imagining the image in my head. I was way off. I have been in San Diego less than three hours, and to call the experience overwhelming would be an understatement. Lines for taxis at San Diego airport wrapped around the terminal this morning. Four floors of ballrooms being prepared for seminars and lectures over the next three days. The magnificent views of San Diego's harbor from the back porch of the Hyatt. It is very apparent to be that this is no small endeavor. All of the sudden, the work we will be doing as NCA press corps members carries a much greater weight than I imagined. It's a little daunting, but I think that I am ready.
