Abstract:This essay addresses the question, What can radical democracy become? Using case studies of the Young Lords' radical rhetoric, I assemble a conceptualization of radical democracy rooted in intersectional rhetorical practices. Drawing on that assemblage, I point toward a need for a realignment of critical rhetorical practices to bring them into concordance with the radical democratic rhetoric of groups like the Young Lords.
