Abstract:This essay explores multiple understandings of sexual health education at one Midwestern university. Utilizing a poststructural feminist framework, we analyzed discourse about this particular program in order to investigate how aspects of dominate discourse operated. We found that gendered groups were treated differently resulting in inequalities of access to sexual health information and care. Finally, we developed recommendations for sexual education of college students informed by feminist understandings of health.
